Family brought me there for Fathers' Day. It was chosen because they support youth hockey with their pull-tabs. Decor was pretty busy with artificial flowers, vines and an assortment of sports and liquor signs. Not too full and service was prompt, polite and pretty knowledgable. We ordered the half rack of baby back ribs, beef brisket special and pulled pork sandwich. They smoke well almost too heavy but good flavor. Ribs weren't real tender, but good enough. Beef brisket was fork-cutting tender and with two sides had value. Soup was good and potato au gratin was really good. BBQ sauce was a bit sweet but helped tone down the smoke. Prices are sturdy for what you get. Specials get a little value. I'd return..

The baby back ribs were just so so and they were not completely warmed through. Famous au gratins we terrible. Locally, Bar Harbor under the previous owner had the best au gratins I've ever had. Served with the meal was cut green beans, that obviously came out of a can. On top of the poor food, it was over priced. The only good part of the meal was the great service.

Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere! I had the walleye sandwich and it was delicious! I know that their signature is their timber jack stack burger, which I will try when I come back

I had already had 2 bad experiences here within the last 3 years....with the service. We normally sit in the restaurant side but this time we thought we would sit in the bar hoping for better service. Seated and once again waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged with menus. Then we placed our drink order and took forever to get our drinks. Placed our dinner order, my meal came with 2 sides.....I recieved one side..waitress left our table before I could say anything. Proceeded to eat my whole meal before she returned. Asked and she did supplement the missing side for a dessert. But once again we were terribly disappointed in the service . I won't handle crappy service for sub par food.....many other fine restaurants in the area with better service!!! Maybe it's time to do some housecleaning with the staff.....or some training on customer service....

Local restaurant with authentic decor. Service was adequate but food was very slow coming out of kitchen for a Monday night that's not that busy. We had the full rack of baby backs and riblet basket. Both very tasty and nice smokey flavor.

Fun and delicious Soup Buffet on Thursdays. Best place around to eat fish. Service is a little slow and the regulars are a little loud. The restaurant could use a little bit of deep cleaning.

We came with a group of 15 fraternity men and they were welcoming and very kind. The service was so great and the server always had a smile on her face. The food came out in a timely mannor and was piping hot. I had the brisket sandwich and it was so moist and the bun was soft and fresh. We highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Thanks for the wonderw service!

We stopped for sandwiches; one smoked and one "premium". My brisket was more like a basic French dip with Au Jus, I was expecting meat on bread with cheese sauce and fried onions & bar be que sauce. The burger was just average, when with a bit more attention it could be outstanding.

So I read the 1 review thought that was 3 years ago things have changed.... I was wrong spot on review awesome food but service was really slow we waited 30 minutes before we got are bill as are waitress stopped at her 1 other table at least 6 times, so in conclusion i say if would want good food but not so good service this is the spot

Nice enough decor, reasonable sandwich and simple entree menu. Walleye was tasty, Caesar salad was typical, Billy's Philly was good sandwich. Service was very slow, waitress did not notice when our drinks were gone, and when we had ordered more, they were never delivered and had to be taken off the bill. So conclusion is reasonable food but service needs improvement.
